Prof. Chheang Ra, Minister
of Health, requested that the Office of Economy and Trade of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region of China improve the health of the Cambodian
people by modernising the production of educational messages using modern AI technology.
During a courtesy call with Lam Chun-wah Parson, Director of the
Office of Economy and Trade of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,
headquartered in Bangkok on February 29, the Minister warmly welcomed Parson
and colleagues, who paid a courtesy call .
The Minister briefed the Director on the nine health priorities
and three key priorities and urged the two sides to consider the possibility of
cooperation in contributing to the health of the Cambodian people by helping to
modernise the production of educational messages through modern AI technology
or the provision of modern medical equipment.
He also requested to consider the possibility of establishing an
international private hospital equipped with modern medical facilities and
sufficient human resources, sharing ideas and knowledge to encourage health
workers to volunteer in remote areas, and sharing experiences on providing
health services through the remote screening system (telemedicine) and digital
health development.
In response, Parson thanked the minister for the warm welcome,
accepted the remarks of the Minister, considered the possibility of cooperation
in the field of health, and welcomed the delegation of the Ministry of Health
to visit Hong Kong in the near future to learn more about the possibility of
cooperation.
The Minister thanked the Director of the Office of Economy and Trade of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for his commitment to support the Cambodian Ministry of Health’s efforts to promote the well-being of the people of Cambodia and contribute to the Royal Government of Cambodia’s efforts to achieve global health coverage in accordance with the Strategic Plan of the Royal Government of the seventh mandate.
